What APEX actually does.

A realistic overview of current capabilities. No vaporware. No promises of returns.

Multi-Factor Analytical Framework

APEX evaluates every ticker through five analytical lenses simultaneously: chart intelligence, market sentiment, fundamentals, risk profile, and macro context. Each lens produces its own read. The consensus is shown alongside the individual verdicts so you can see where agents agree and where they diverge.

  • Chart Intelligence: evaluates structure, momentum, and price action against moving averages and volatility bands
  • Sentiment: reads recent news sentiment via keyword classification
  • Fundamental: P/E, ROE, revenue growth trends from Finnhub data
  • Risk Management: ATR-relative position sizing recommendations
  • Macro: 10-year yield, 10y2y spread, and Fed funds context from FRED data

Professional Charting

Multi-timeframe candlestick charts with 30+ indicators. Pan, zoom, drag the price axis, double-click to reset. Indicators include VWAP with bands, Bollinger, Keltner, Donchian, RSI, MACD, Stochastic, ATR, OBV, ADX, and more. All togglable through the searchable indicators modal.

Integrated AI Chat

Ask questions about the current chart in plain English. The AI has full access to your current symbol's state: price, indicators, structure, open observations, agent verdicts, and positions. Because it sees what you see, answers are specific and contextual, not generic chatbot output.

AI responses may contain errors or hallucinations. Treat output as a starting point for your own research, never as a final answer. Never trade based on AI output alone.

Instant Assessment

One-click AI analysis that structures a read into five sections: current market read, best long setup, best short setup, what not to do, and key level map. Each section is bounded and specific. No walls of text, no disclaimers as padding.

Smart Alerts

Price alerts above, below, or on cross of any threshold. Fires browser push notifications, plays sound, toasts the UI. Works on any ticker, whether it's in your watchlist or not. Every alert tracks the trigger price, the timestamp, and a history for later review.

Analytical Observations

When the multi-factor consensus crosses a threshold, APEX logs an observation with reference entry, stop, and targets (all based on ATR). Observations are tracked to resolution: hit target, hit stop, or expire after 50 bars. The Performance tab shows your aggregate outcomes.

Observations are analytical outputs, not trade recommendations. Reference levels are analytical, not orders. Always verify independently before acting.

Performance Tracking

Every observation's outcome is persistently recorded. The Performance tab breaks down win rate by timeframe, by agent, and overall. Shows which agents are contributing signal versus noise over time.

What APEX does NOT do

  • APEX does not execute trades or hold funds. It's not a broker.
  • APEX does not provide personalized investment advice. It's not a registered investment adviser.
  • APEX does not guarantee the accuracy of any analysis.
  • APEX does not promise profitability. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
  • APEX does not currently backtest its analytical framework against historical data. This is roadmap, not shipped.

What's on the roadmap

  • Historical backtester to validate analytical framework edge
  • Multi-pane chart layouts (1x2, 2x2)
  • Options chain integration
  • Portfolio-level analytics
  • Custom user-defined indicators
  • Broker integration (IBKR, Alpaca) for copy-trading observations
